The Pimax Comfort Kit is a specialised ergonomic upgrade designed to solve the common "front-heavy" feel and light leakage issues of Pimax's large-format headsets.

While originally sold as an optional accessory for older models, it became the standard face interface pre-installed on later Vision 8K X units. The kit has three key components to improve the headset's interface with your face:

The cowling is a wider, more sculpted plastic frame that snaps onto the headset. It features an extended forehead area to distribute the weight across your brow rather than just your cheeks.

The foam padding comes in two thicknesses. The thicker foam is better for people who wear glasses, while the thinner foam maximises the field of view by getting your eyes closer to the lenses.

The nose pad features a rubberised "anti-leakage" guard that blocks the gap around your nose where light often enters. The winged design and the nose guard significantly reduce "immersion-breaking" light from your physical room

The 8K X is a large headset, and the comfort kit shifts much of the pressure to your forehead, making long sessions in sim racing rigs or flight sims much more enjoyable.

Holding the headset at a more stable angle, the comfort kit helps keep your eyes aligned with the "sweet spot" of the Fresnel lenses, and many users report that it positions the lenses at a better distance, which can help reduce "fisheye" edge distortion.
